Dentures and Partials in Marrero, LA

Dentures have a reputation shaped largely by the ones people remember from decades ago — bulky, obviously artificial, prone to slipping at the worst moment. Modern dentures are a considerable improvement, and the options available today go well beyond a single kind of appliance.

We provide full dentures, partial dentures, immediate dentures, and implant-supported dentures at our Marrero office, along with repairs and relines. Whichever direction is right for you, the aim is the same: teeth that let you eat what you want and smile without thinking about it.

Full Dentures

A complete set replacing all the teeth in an upper arch, a lower arch, or both. Full dentures restore the ability to chew and speak, and they support the facial structure that tends to collapse inward when all the teeth are gone.

Getting the fit right takes time and adjustment appointments, and we’d rather spend that time than hand you something that almost works.

Partial Dentures

When you still have healthy natural teeth, a partial denture fills in around them. It’s removable, it clasps securely to your remaining teeth, and it prevents those teeth from drifting into the open spaces.

Partials are custom-shaded to match your natural teeth, so the transition between the two isn’t obvious.

Immediate Dentures

If teeth need to be removed, an immediate denture is prepared in advance and placed the same day the extractions are performed. You don’t go without teeth during the healing period.

Immediate dentures do require relining after the tissue has healed and settled — the shape of your gums changes significantly in the months following extractions. We’ll plan for that from the start so it’s an expected step rather than an unwelcome surprise. Learn about extractions →

Implant-Supported Dentures

This is the option we’d point out to anyone frustrated by a conventional denture that moves.

Rather than resting on the gums and relying on suction, an implant-supported denture snaps onto dental implants placed in the jaw. The difference in stability is substantial — you can bite into things you’d otherwise avoid, and the denture stays where it belongs when you talk and laugh.

We restore implant-supported dentures; we do not place the implants. Surgical placement is handled by one of two local oral surgeons we partner with, and we coordinate the treatment plan with them directly. Learn about dental implants →

Repairs and Relines

We offer both. If your denture has cracked, chipped, or lost a tooth, bring it in — many repairs can be handled quickly.

Relines are the maintenance most denture wearers eventually need. Your jawbone and gum tissue change shape gradually over the years, and a denture that fit perfectly when it was made will eventually fit loosely. A reline refits the base to your current tissue rather than replacing the whole appliance.

If your denture is loose, sore in a particular spot, or clicking when you talk, that’s worth an appointment. Continuing to wear a poorly fitting denture leads to sore spots and accelerated bone loss.
